UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS (2) - As a charity organization dedicated to serving the needs of the children within our community, the Junior Auxiliary of Batesville has established two undergraduate scholarship funds of $500 each to encourage young people who desire to further their education so that they can help others - especially in the pursuit of careers that focus on the needs of children.
LEIGH NEWTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATES (1)- In 2004, Leigh Newton, one of our active members of our chapter, passed away suddenly following surgical complications. Leigh Newton was a caring, compassionate person who had dedicated her life to helping others as a registered nurse. To honor the memory of Leigh, the Junior Auxiliary of Batesville awards a $500 scholarship to a student who seeks to enter a profession of helping others in the same spirit in which Leigh did.
